A very touching farewell today in Utah as Major Brent Taylor’s family and friends said goodbye. A grateful nation stands beside his family.

The local news did a great job capturing the event and has shared a video of the day.

My friend Major Abdul Rahman Rahmani, an Afghan Military Pilot, shared some kind words about Brent’s impact on Afghanistan and on those he came in contact with. Brent’s brother shared some of this today.

I am thankful that President Ashraf Ghani, my old colleague, was able to speak with Mrs Taylor and that General Thomas of US SOCOM was able to be at the farewell.

May we all learn from his life.
